Vida Electric Scooters 2025
The Vida brand of Hero MotoCorp has built its EV portfolio steadily since entering the electric mobility space in 2022. After bringing the premium Vida V1 electric scooter, Vida couldn't just sit back on their laurels and had to expand with the V2. Now using their experience with the V1 to introduce the much cheaper VX2 to complete a three tier model catering to various commuter uses with style, innovation, smart features, and practical budgets.
1. Vida V1: Premium Beginnings (2022)
Hero started their electric journey with a premium electric scooter, the Vida V1, with removable battery packs which powered a 6 kW motor with an added premium level brand experience, available in two different variants:
Highlights:
- Removable battery packs with a forward styling signalling their vision to being able to swap batteries later.
- Performance: Top speed around 80 km/h and a 0-40 km/h run time of around 3.2 seconds.
- Premium ownership experience features: A buyback program, paperless EMIs at lower interest rates, a three day worry free test ride experience, and a customer's actual pick up, drop off, and support in real time.
The V1 represents what Hero is trying to achieve with their electric vehicle ambitions, combining its uniqueness to make participants experience something valuable with a more worthy platform for performance.
2. Vida V2: Smarter & More Affordable
By coming out with its second product, Vida was able to close the price gap with the V2, which is now available in three options:
Pricing:
- Starts at around ₹74,000 (Lite) to ₹1,20,000 (Pro).
- On road pricing will range from ₹78,500 to ₹1.26 lakh depending on some specifications and location.
Battery & Performance:
- V2 Lite: ~2.2 kWh battery; ~94 km range; max speed ~69 km/h.
- V2 Plus: ~3.4 kWh; ~143 km range; max speed ~85 km/h.
- V2 Pro: ~3.9 kWh; ~165 km range; max speed ~90 km/h; 0–40 km/h, ~3 seconds.
Motor & Tech:
- All have 6 kW motors with ~3.9 kW of continuous power and ~25 Nm of torque.
- Same platform with common features: all LED lights, a 7-inch touchscreen, cruise control, keyless ignition, regenerative braking, riding modes (Eco, Ride, Sport but Pro has a configurable custom mode).
Overall, the V2 was an appreciated commuter with respectable, market competitive features at a rational price.
